With both pleasure and regret, Warren announces the retirement of Dan Olson. Dan has been a consulting engineer at Warren since its founding 20 years ago and has been a leader in the development of Warren and its culture from the onset.
Dan Olson came to Warren after his first retirement from a successful career as an Air Force officer and fighter pilot, which included 177 combat missions in Vietnam as a squadron pilot and flight leader followed by assignments that included training, flight safety, and accident investigation. He was decorated twice with the Distinguished Flying Cross for gallantry in action. Although that career would be enough for anyone, rather than rest on his laurels, Dan marched on for another two decades as a trailblazer at Warren.
Dan has always been an innovator at Warren and has put in place most of the procedures and technologies that enable our success and provide the best product for our clients. That work will continue to reward us long after Dan’s departure.
Although he will be missed daily here, I am pleased that Dan has made the decision to spend time with his family, church, and other pursuits. We look forward to his visits when he returns to complete work on some of his long projects, or just stops by to say hello.
